This is a modern example of the Colt M1991A1 pistol. Note the diamond grips, which were normally found on the 1911, not the 1911A1 pistols. The pistol uses military type sights and a spur hammer.

The Colt 1991A1 Compact is a modern version of the 1911 pistol. Colt mande the compact with blued steel (as shown below) and with a stainless steel finish. The barrel was 4.5″ (instead of a full 5″) and the overall length was dropped to 7.75″.
This particular version has black grips, while current production guns ship with Rosewood grips.

The Colt Officer’s model for concealed carry was introduced by Colt Manufacturing in 1985. Colt began making the Officer’s Model for the military in the 1970’s, but waited until the 80’s to release a civilian model.
