This is the Springfield Bureau Model, a specially made 1911 pistol manufactured for the FBI’s elite Hostage Rescue Team (HRT). While the HRT has never rescued any hostages, they have been involved in the deaths of US citizens at Ruby Ridge and Waco.

This is an unknown Springfield 1911-style pistol. Based on the photo, this is probably a 1911A1 model that was photographed as part of a catalog or publicity campaign.
The Springfield Armory company leases the rights to the name from the actual Springfield Armory, the national historic site, in Springfield, MA.
Kimber Compact In Wild Bill’s Slide
This Kimber Compact In Wild Bill’s Slide features another Kimber pistol no longer in production. The holster is very reasonably priced and made by Wild Bill’s Concealment.
Although the company makes several pistols similar to the Kimber Compact, that specific model is no longer made.
Para-Ordnance P-18-9
The Para-Ordnance P-18-9 is a double stack 9mm pistol in the 1911 form factor. Not terribly popular with many people, the Para-Ordnance P-18-9 is no longer produced.
One of the frequent complaints about the Para-Ordnance P-18-9 is the exceptionally wide body, making it hard for many shooters with small hands to shoot this handgun well.
Series 70 Colt Government Model
This is a customized version of the standard Series 70 Colt Government Model 1911 pistol. As the name suggests, Colt introduced the Series 70 pistols in the 1970’s.
This Series 70 Colt Government Model matched many of the Mil-Spec 1911A1 features including the rounded mainspring, shorter trigger, and relief cuts in the frame near the trigger.
Safari Renegade
The Safari Renegade is a 1911-style handgun manufactured by a division of Olympic Arms. The Safari Renegade is no longer made and there is not much information about this fine pistol.
Springfield Mil-Spec Compact
This is a photo of the Springfield Mil-Spec Compact pistol. The Springfield Mil-Spec Compact is a 1911-style, single action handgun chambered for the impressive .45 ACP cartridge.
The Springfield Mil-Spec Compact shown here is in a parkerized finish with the small, fixed sights found on old school Army pistols.
Para-Ordnance P14-45
The Para-Ordnance P14-45 was one of the company’s early best sellers. The Para-Ordnance P14-45 is a double stack, .45 ACP pistol styled after the 1911.
The Para-Ordnance P14-45 is a single action pistol using both a thumb safety and a grip safety.
Para-Ordnance P10-45
No longer manufactured, the PAra Ordnance P10-45 pistol was a very compact, double stack handgun in the 1911-style. The gun was single action and was designed to be carried “cocked and locked.”
The gun is the forerunner to the popular Warthog line of handguns from Para Ordnance.

Kimber Classic
No longer produced, the Kimber Classic is an excellent example of the fine craftsmanship that goes into the modern 1911 pistol. The Kimber Classic is a 1911-style, single-action pistol chambered in .45 ACP. It features many nice upgrades such as a custom trigger, fine wood grips and a special blueing.
