Wilson Combat manufactures some of the nicest 1911-style pistols in the world. This Wilson 1996 Super Grade is one such example.
The Wilson 1996 Super Grade is a customized 1911-style pistol chambered for the .45 ACP cartridge. It is a single stack .45 with a flat mainspring housing, extended beavertail and large thumb safety.
This is a Comped Springfield Champion. The gun was made by Springfield Armory (the company, not the national armory in Springfield, MA). However, an unknown amount of custom work has been done by the previous owner.
This Comped Springfield Champion was sitting in a gun shop for sale and I took a photo of it.
The Strayer-Voigt Infinity line of custom pistols are considered “race guns” made for competition. The Strayer-Voigt Infinity guns are highly customized 1911’s that are built for the individual user. They are available in calibers including .38 Super, 9×23 Winchester, .40 S&W, 10mm, .357 SIG and, of course, .45 ACP.
The gun shown is pretty tame when compared to other 1911 pistols made by Strayer-Voigt Infinity.
The STI 2011 was made by the 1911 pistol manufacturer STI International, Inc. STI International, Inc is widely known for making competition 1911 handguns and parts for 1911 handguns. Until Delta Force dumped the 1911 in favor of the Glock, STI International, Inc made the frames for the Delta 1911 pistols.
The STI 2011 was made some time before the year 2011. The gun is not listed in the 2011 STI International, Inc. catalog.
The Springfield Mil-Spec is a handgun that claims to be made to the exacting Mil-Spec standards of the US Army. The gun is a remake of the Colt M1911A1. The gun pictured below, however, is no longer made.
Springfield Armory still makes a GI “Mil-Spec” 1911A1. The gun is not truly mil-spec, though it looks similar.
This is a photo of the Springfield TRP Stainless, a very cool 1911-style pistol from Springfield Armory. The pistol is a single stack .45 ACP gun with seven round magazines. The barrel is 5″ and the sights are dovetailed, 3-dot sights. The front sight has a tritium night sight insert.
The grips on the Springfield TRP Stainless are made from the G10 composite material.
The Springfield Standard is a 1911 handgun manufactured by the Springfield Armory gun company. The Springfield Standard is a .45 ACP caliber, single-action, single-stack pistol modeled after the Colt M1911A1 pistol.
This gun has a few enhancements over the original M1911A1 produced by Colt. However, the gun design stays mostly faithful to the original.
The Springfield Factory Comp was a high-quality competition 1911-style pistol manufactured by the Springfield Armory company. Springfield Armory leases the rights to the name “Springfield Armory” from the actual Springfield Armory national historic site in Springfield, MA.
This guns was designed for competition use. This specific model is no longer produced, but others are.
The Springfield Defender is a 1911-style handgun with a compensator and fully-adjustable sights. This pistol is no longer being manufactured, but Springfield Armory still manufactures many high-quality pistols for competition and self-defense.
This is a photo of the Springfield V-10 pistol. The handgun was manufactured by Springfield Armory. The gun is designed for concealed carry: it is chopped on the grip and the slide, has an extended beavertail and heavy porting in the barrel.
The gun was chambered for the .45 ACP. It is not manufactured anymore.
